We’re Dave and Amelia Bay-Brown.​​

Dave was a Broadway actor, and Amelia worked as a hairstylist for TV/Film/Broadway. We lived in small New York apartments, always dreaming up ways to make them more functional and beautiful with limited space and resources. When the pandemic hit, our entertainment careers were put on pause, so we had to pivot...

In 2020, we bought our first RV—having no idea what we were doing. 

As we gutted and rebuilt that first rig, we discovered a passion for transforming compact spaces into something beautiful and functional.  Each of our 17 RV renovations became their own small-space challenge, and solving those challenges has become our expertise.

 

As our projects gained traction online, so did our name—BBandtheRV—a blend of our last names, Bay and Brown, and a nod to the homes on wheels that kickstarted our journey.

Today, we’ve brought that same design ethos back home to New York City, where we specialize in transforming apartments one room at a time. Whether it’s a multifunctional home office, custom bunk beds for growing kids, or a Murphy bed that hides a surprise — our work is about solving space problems with style and intention. We focus on maximizing square footage without sacrificing warmth, color, or personality.

 

We know how to make 300 square feet feel like 1,000. Because we’ve lived it — on the road and at home. We’re still a small team (just the two of us, for now), and that’s how we like it. Every client gets our full attention, hands-on design, and thoughtful craftsmanship.
